Mosadi,” means “Woman” in Setswana.

Led by filmmaker Oluwaseun Babalola, KOSINIMA, Inc.’s goal is to create funding opportunities to support African/African diaspora storytelling in all its glory, outside the traditional structures.

Bantu Film Festival is a festival created to uplift the filmmaking industry in Botswana, led by local filmmakers Lesedi Mphothwe and Veronica Pilane.

KOSINIMA, Inc. and Bantu Film Festival are proud to launch this exciting partnership that will support the creativity of Botswana's female screenwriters.

This is a unique opportunity for female writers in Botswana to showcase their talents and have their stories heard by a wider audience.

Storytelling has the power to change the world. Through the ‘Mosadi Writes’ opportunity, we are committed to identifying and supporting the next generation of talented female screenwriters.

We're looking for bold and innovative screenplays that push boundaries. If you're a woman in Botswana with a passion for storytelling, we want to hear from you!
